Wessex takes its name from the ancient English kingdom, a place where things were built to endure. We wanted that same quality in a bench. Not rustic. Not ye olde English. Just enduring.
The seat is upholstered in Tosali Leatherette, a synthetic that behaves like leather but forgives like fabric. It wipes clean, it does not crack, and it develops a soft, lived in quality over time without the anxiety of genuine hide. The tufting is button pulled, creating deep, regular dimples that give the bench its classic character.
The legs are Suncity Indian Teak, turned to a smooth, tapered profile and left in a natural tone that warms over the years. There are no stretchers, no cross bars, no metal connectors. Just six solid wood legs, each one thick enough to carry the full width of the seat without additional support.
At 67" long, Wessex is built for the long table. It seats three comfortably, and the leatherette surface means spills, crumbs, and daily wear are part of the plan, not a problem.
Custom finishes or minor dimensional adjustments may be explored based on feasibility. Please reach out to us on WhatsApp for more details.
