RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At Varpas (operated by Atrium Multitrade Pvt. Ltd.), we are committed to your complete satisfaction. We understand that purchasing furniture online requires trust, and we want to ensure you feel confident in your decision. This policy outlines our return, refund, and exchange procedures.


Our Commitment

All furniture sold by Varpas is handcrafted with care and built to last. Since most of our products are made-to-order based on your specific requirements, we have implemented the following policy to ensure fairness for both our customers and our craftsmen.


1. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS

Cancellation Before Production:

  • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund (minus payment gateway charges, if applicable)
  • After 24 hours, once production has commenced, cancellations are not permitted as materials have been allocated and work has begun

Returns After Delivery:

Made-to-order products are generally non-returnable unless:

  • The product received is damaged during transit
  • The product has manufacturing defects
  • The wrong product was delivered

2. READY-TO-SHIP PRODUCTS

Return Window:

  • You may return ready-to-ship items within 7 days of delivery
  • Products must be unused, unassembled (if applicable), and in original packaging
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrect

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Customized or personalized furniture
  • Products damaged due to misuse or improper assembly
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase

3. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

We take great care in packaging and quality control. However, if you receive a damaged or defective product:

What to Do:

  1. Inspect upon delivery: Check your order immediately in the presence of the delivery person
  2. Report within 48 hours: Contact us at care@varpas.shop or call                +91-83208 41540
     with:
    • Order number
    • Clear photos/videos of the damage or defect
    • Photos of the packaging (if damaged in transit)
  3. Do not discard packaging: Keep all original packaging materials for inspection

Our Response:

  • We will review your claim within 2-3 business days
  • If approved, we will offer:
    • Replacement of the damaged/defective item (at no additional cost)
    • Repair if the damage is minor and repairable
    • Full refund if replacement is not possible

Important:

  • Damage claims reported after 48 hours of delivery may not be accepted
  • Normal wear and tear, or damage due to misuse, is not covered

4. WRONG PRODUCT DELIVERED

If you receive an incorrect product:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • We will arrange for pickup of the incorrect item at no cost to you
  • The correct product will be shipped to you free of charge
  • If the correct product is unavailable, a full refund will be issued

5. REFUND PROCESS

Refund Timeline:

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned product (if applicable), refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days
  • Refunds will be credited to your original payment method

Refund Amount:

  • Full refund: For damaged, defective, or wrong products
  • Partial refund: If product is returned in used or damaged condition (at our discretion)
  • Payment gateway charges (typically 2-3%) are non-refundable for customer-initiated cancellations

Shipping Costs:

  • Return shipping is free if the product is damaged, defective, or incorrect
  • For other returns (if eligible), return shipping costs are borne by the customer

6. EXCHANGE POLICY

Exchanges are available only for:

  • Damaged or defective products
  • Wrong products delivered

Exchanges are not available for:

  • Change of mind
  • Size or color preference changes (for made-to-order items)
  • Products that don't match your décor expectations

7. QUALITY ASSURANCE

Every piece of furniture undergoes quality checks before dispatch. However, wood is a natural material, and slight variations in grain, color, and texture are normal and not considered defects.

Not considered defects:

  • Natural wood grain variations
  • Minor color differences from photos (due to screen settings or lighting)
  • Small knots or natural wood markings
  • Slight dimensional variations (±5mm)

8. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN OR REFUND

Step 2: Provide:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if damaged/defective)

Step 3: Our team will review and respond within 2-3 business days

Step 4: If approved, we will provide:

  • Return shipping instructions (if applicable)
  • Estimated refund timeline

9. RESTOCKING FEE

A restocking fee of 15% may apply for returns of ready-to-ship products that are:

  • Returned without valid reason (change of mind)
  • Opened, assembled, or used
  • Returned after the 7-day return window

This fee covers the cost of inspection, repackaging, and relisting.


10. SHIPPING DAMAGE

If your product arrives damaged due to shipping:

  1. Refuse delivery if damage is visible on the package
  2. If you've already accepted delivery, take photos immediately and contact us within 48 hours
  3. We will coordinate with our shipping partner and arrange a replacement at no cost

Note: Damage claims must be supported by photographic evidence.


11. CUSTOM ORDERS & PERSONALIZATION

Custom-made or personalized furniture is non-returnable and non-refundable unless:

  • There is a manufacturing defect
  • The product does not match the agreed specifications

Please review your customization details carefully before placing an order.


12. FORCE MAJEURE

Varpas (Atrium Multitrade Pvt. Ltd.) is not liable for delays or non-performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Strikes or labor disputes
  • Government restrictions
  • Pandemics or public health emergencies

In such cases, we will make every effort to fulfill your order as soon as possible.


13. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure a smooth return/refund process:

  • Inspect products immediately upon delivery
  • Report issues within specified timeframes
  • Provide accurate contact and delivery information
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the delivery
