Amithi Datsu 58" Heritage Upholstered Natural Bench

The idea behind Amithi came from a familiar domestic scene. A bedroom where everything had its place, except the things that mattered most at the end of the day. Blankets folded on chairs. Books stacked on the floor. A throw draped over the footboard because there was nowhere else for it to go.

We wanted to design something that belonged at the foot of the bed not as an afterthought, but as a finishing piece. Something that could hold what the room couldn't, without looking like it was trying to solve a problem.

The natural Burma Border teak cradle frame was shaped to feel warm and grounded, borrowing from traditional Indian woodcraft but stripped of ornament. The Nesterra Heritage upholstery was chosen not for nostalgia, but because pattern, when done with restraint, gives a room memory. It makes a piece feel like it has been there longer than it has. Beneath the cushioned seat, an oak laminate plywood internal carcass keeps the structure honest and built to last.

Amithi is not loud. It does not compete with the bed or the rug or the curtains. It simply sits where it should, holds what it needs to, and makes the room feel finished.
