Jasper Genesis 62" Upholstered Oak Powder Coat Bench

Jasper was born in Darshan Desai's sketchbook as a single line. A long, continuous curve that started at one end of the page and ended at the other. He wanted to see if a bench could feel like a single gesture, one movement from start to finish, with no interruption.

The Sarom Apache upholstery wraps a thick foam cushion in a rich, warm tone that gives the piece its presence. The seat is pill shaped, with fully rounded ends that avoid the abrupt, squared off termination of most bench designs. It looks organic, almost biological, like something that grew rather than was built.

The Black Powder Coat Mild Steel frame is deliberately thin. Three pin legs and a single connecting rail. The engineering is hidden inside the upholstery, so the metal reads as an afterthought, a delicate scaffolding beneath something much softer. The integrated Natural White Oak tray top sits at one end, offering a surface for a cup or a book without requiring a separate side table.

Jasper is the rare piece that feels playful and serious at the same time.
