Kangaroo Verdana 18" Pigmented Concrete Yellow Accent-Table

Kangaroo Drake was designed around a turned wood bowl. Verdana asks: what if we kept the same instinct but changed the material entirely?

The top is Yellow Pigmented GFRC, a glass fibre reinforced concrete that is lighter than it looks and tougher than it has any right to be. The yellow is not paint. It is pigment mixed into the concrete itself, which means it will not chip, peel, or fade. The colour is warm and muted, closer to turmeric than lemon, with the kind of depth that only comes from a material that has actual mass behind its surface. Tiny air pockets dot the surface like freckles, a signature of hand cast concrete that no factory finish can replicate.

The tray form carries over from Drake. A shallow, lipped edge that keeps your coffee cup, your keys, your phone from wandering off the edge. It is a detail born from observation, not trend. Things slide off flat tables. They do not slide off Kangaroo.

The Black Powder Coat Mild Steel legs are the same tripod pin legs as Drake, three slim tapers angled outward for stability on any surface. A Black Powder Coat Mild Steel support disc connects the legs to the concrete top, engineered to carry the weight of GFRC without flexing or loosening over time.

At 18" x 18" x 16", Verdana is the same compact footprint as its sibling, but with a completely different personality. Where Drake is warm and organic, Verdana is cool, graphic, and unapologetically modern. Same family. Different material. Different energy.
