Cucumber was named for exactly the reason you think. We wanted to design a bench that felt cool. Not trendy cool, but temperature cool. The kind of piece that calms a room down instead of heating it up.
The seat is Glammy Baroque upholstery, a textured, light toned fabric with a boucle like quality that reads as soft and inviting from across the room. The tufting is subtle, just enough to create gentle surface contours without making the bench look overstuffed or formal. The edges are clean and squared off, which keeps the silhouette modern.
The Black Powder Coat Mild Steel base is structured with four straight legs and a connecting stretcher bar that adds rigidity without visual clutter. The proportions were calibrated for versatility. 55" wide, 17" seat height. Wide enough for a bedroom end, narrow enough for a hallway, and tall enough to sit comfortably at a dining table in a pinch.
Cucumber does not try to be the most interesting thing in the room. It tries to be the most composed.
Custom finishes or minor dimensional adjustments may be explored based on feasibility. Please reach out to us on WhatsApp for more details.
