Malagasy Ignis 54" Teak Upholstered Natural Bench

Malagasy is named after the people and language of Madagascar. An island where French colonial architecture meets tropical wilderness, where colour is not decorative but structural. Arpit Jain designed this collection with that tension in mind: the discipline of European furniture making and the exuberance of equatorial colour.

The seat is upholstered in a vibrant fabric that reads as bold from a distance and textured up close. The foam cushion is thick but firm, shaped with a gentle dome that avoids the flat, institutional look of most bench seating.

The Natural Indian Teak base is the anchor. Warm, oiled, and left close to its natural state. The legs are splayed at an angle that references classic mid century Scandinavian design but with proportions that feel distinctly tropical. Wider stance, lower seat, more spread. It is furniture that wants you to sit sideways, kick your feet up, and stay.

Malagasy is not for quiet rooms. It is for rooms that are already alive.
