Anagala began with a question we kept hearing from young professionals setting up their first real workspace at home. They wanted a desk, but not the kind that looked like it belonged in a corporate office. Something that felt more like a writing table in a country house. Something with warmth.

We started with Harvest White Ash, chosen for its pale, honeyed grain that ages beautifully and feels alive under your hand. The surface is wide and generous, but the raised back lip keeps things from sliding off without turning the desk into a tray. It is a small detail, but it changes how you use the piece entirely.

The splayed ash legs give the table a stance that feels grounded but light. There is no hardware visible, no metal brackets, no under desk cable trays. Just wood, shaped and joined with care. The whole piece ships flat and assembles easily, which was important to us because we wanted it to reach smaller apartments and home offices without the usual delivery headaches.
