Carrot Marbella 20" Upholstered Metal Powder Coat Dining-Chair

Carrot came from a brief that was deceptively simple: design a dining chair that works equally well in a home kitchen and a busy cafe. Two very different environments with one shared requirement. The chair has to survive daily use without losing its character.

The Black Powder Coat Mild Steel frame is the backbone. Tubular, welded at clean angles, and engineered to stack if needed. It is not trying to be invisible. The frame is part of the aesthetic, a visible skeleton that gives Carrot its industrial honesty.

The D'Decor Moleskin upholstery wraps the seat and backrest in a single continuous shell. The fabric has a soft, suede like hand feel that is warmer than leather but more durable than cotton. It ages well, which matters when a chair is being pulled in and out twice a day, every day.

The proportions were tested obsessively. Seat height at 18" for comfortable dining. A backrest angled just enough to support a post meal lean without encouraging a full recline. Carrot is a chair that knows when dinner is over, it is time to clear the table.
