Herbie Numin 17" Upholstered Metal Powder Coat Dining-Chair

Herbie was designed to disappear. Not literally, but in the way the best dining chairs do. They support the meal, the conversation, the evening, without ever drawing attention to themselves. They do their job so well that you forget they are there.

The frame is Black Powder Coat Mild Steel, a deliberate departure from the black metal that dominates most contemporary dining furniture. White softens the visual weight, makes the chair feel lighter in the room, and pairs effortlessly with lighter wood tables and neutral interiors.

The seat and backrest are upholstered in Benette Blush, a fabric with a gentle, linen like hand feel in a soft blush tone. The rounded backrest has a capsule shape that echoes the human spine without forcing an ergonomic silhouette. It is comfortable for a two hour dinner, which is all a dining chair should need to be.

At 17" wide and 18" seat height, Herbie is proportioned for four, six, or eight around a table without crowding. It stacks, it cleans easily, and it ages gracefully. Birdsong in furniture form.
